Motor Carrier Requirements:
- Must have a valid class “A” Commercial Drivers License.
- Must be at least 25 years of age.
- Have a minimum of two years verifiable, over-the-road experience within the last 5 years.
- Must have an acceptable driving record without any drug or alcohol convictions within the previous five years.
- Must have no felony convictions within the last 7 years.
- Be able to pass all DOT exams (physical, drug screen, road and written tests).
- Must abide by all company policies.
- Must have a cell phone.
- No more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years.
- Maintain the tractor's appearance at all times.
- Driver trainees program.
Equipment Requirements:
- Tractor for Line Haul not older than 2003.
- Tractor for Local Division not older than 2002.
- 3-axle with sleeper for Line Haul (sleeper optional for Local division).
- Wheelbase of 250” maximum.
- Stack height of at least 13’6.”
- Sliding 5th wheel with a height of 47 ½” or less.
- Maximum weight of 20,000 lb with full load of fuel.
- Engine electronically governed to run no faster than 75 mph.
- Tractor DOT BIT inspection every 90 days.
- All tires 1st run original with less than 50% wear of the tread.
- Chains (three full sets) for tractor (line haul only).
- Required DOT Safety Equipment: fire extinguisher, three triangles, spare bulbs and fuses.
- Padlock.
- Right-side, fender mounted blindside mirror.
Insurance Requirements:
- $1,000,000 liability.
- $100,000 cargo (with refer breakdown).
- $25,000 unidentified trailer.
- Insurance company must be an admitted carrier in the state of California with no less than an “A-“ rating in the Best’s key rating guide.
